How many times has this happened to you?
Your family sits down at your favorite kid-friendly restaurant and the server hands out those wonderful kid-sized cups with lids (praise be to lids!). Then they hand out the straws, which are the same straws they use for adult-sized cups. Your kids, and their age-appropriate depth perception, then have to try to navigate those way-too-long straws into their thirsty little mouths. Not ideal.
Since I’m not in the habit of carrying scissors in my purse, here’s how we’ve solved this little problem. It’s a game changer!
The Problem:
Same size straws for adults and kids
The Solution:
Use your keys to cut that straw down to size!
VOILA!
A straw appropriately sized for little cups and little mouths!
Now you can enjoy a more relaxing family dinner out! What are some of your favorite “parent hacks”?

What a great idea! I’ve had to ask the wait staff to take it back and cut it with scissors. Now I don’t need to.
