These last two weeks have been pretty nuts! We’ve been prepping for Adelaide’s birthday party, savoring the last few days of school, and making plans for summer!
Last week, Cadence and I visited the Chatfield Botanic Gardens with our friends. They were in need of some updated photos of their growing kids, now 5 and 3, and I volunteered for the job!
Now, I am NOT a professional photographer, by any means, but I have fun taking pictures of my kids, so I thought I’d try my hand at taking pictures of my friends’ kids. We had a lot of fun exploring the gardens, and the rain managed to hold off long enough for a full morning of fun!
You can see in the above photos, that Cadence’s hair was getting preeeetty long. Adelaide’s was the same way. It’s crossed the beautiful-flowing-long-hair threshold and moved firmly into the always-ratted-mess-of-tangles place. So they both got haircuts this week!
Cadence’s hair is now an adorable, shoulder length bob.
Adelaide’s hair is still below shoulder length, but about three inches shorter than it was before. You’ll see her new do as soon as she’s home long enough for me to snap a picture of her! LOL!
Tomorrow is Adelaide’s kindergarten graduation…I can’t believe it! Next week is her official last day of school, and she’ll finally be a “grader” (her term, and I love it!).
She’s excited for first grade, but she’s sad to say goodbye to her teacher and several friends, who will be moving to different schools next year. Growing up is such a mix of emotions!
Follow me on Instagram to see pictures of her big day tomorrow!
I'd love to hear what you think!
