As a work-from-home mom, I knew I’d never get any use out of my office if I couldn’t find a way to get my kids in there with me. So today, I’m showing you the kids corner of my office!
The IKEA LACK coffee table (minus the lower shelf) is the perfect height for a kids desk. And this ADORABLE little stool fits perfectly underneath with plenty of knee-room! Winning!
Vintage Round Top Stool from Wayfair
We already owned the floor pillows, I just made new covers that better coordinated with the room. But this yellow locker basket was a fun find from Land of Nod! I needed a container for activities and toys, and it’s the PERFECT shade of yellow for the room. Bright, fun and practical—what more could you want!?
On top of the desk is our beloved, G4 iMac. They just don’t make ’em like this anymore ♥. It doesn’t do much these days—we have a “kids” user set up to run Alpha Baby, PBS Kids Games, and Adelaide’s math homework. The girls love it 🙂
The pencil cup is from Target’s dollar bin, and the Dream Big print is from Caravan Shoppe. The french flash cards have been a favorite, as well as the String-A-Farm activity from ALEX.
We usually spend an hour or two in the office each afternoon—post kindergarten pick-up. Nice music, a calm, cozy space for Cadence to play, Adelaide does some homework and mommy gets to work!
Do you work from home? An office? How do you get work done with kids around? I’d love to know!
Don’t forget to post photos of your refreshed space on Instagram with hashtag #fallrefresh. Can’t wait to see what you’re up to!

What an adorable space! The girls look perfectly at home there. I especially love the pops of yellow–this color palette always makes me think of you.
