We had one hell of a week. Adelaide caught a bug, in a frightening, but not contagious way. She lost two pounds (5% of her body weight) due to a complete and total lack of appetite and frequent trips to the bathroom. Let’s just say our low point this week was waking up one morning to her crying because she was too weak to walk down the stairs by herself. 🙁 But she’s feeling TONS better now and is back to eating like a champ again. And until I see that soft roundness return to her face, I’m letting her eat as much as she wants of whatever she wants! Haha! Donuts anyone? 😀

I took that photo (above) last night, on our walk back from our neighborhood playground. The grass fields are epic right now! I can’t wait to go back with my real camera and capture some great photos of the girls.

Sunflowers were on sale at Whole Foods this week. We picked up five beautiful stems and they successfully made me smile, even through all of the (literal) crap this week.

We have a little berry bush in our backyard garden and it’s been so much fun to watch it grow! The girls check it everyday for ripe blackberries, and on Wednesday we got to pick our biggest batch of berries yet! (try saying that five times fast!) They were delicious and lasted approximately 58 seconds!

Speaking of our garden, how pretty are Dill flowers?! I’ve had a blast watching things grow in our own backyard. We’re already using the herbs daily, but I’m hoping for a decent harvest of tomatoes, bell peppers, carrots, and zucchini in a few weeks. And pumpkins in the fall!

This was a busy week in my freelance design work. I filled THREE Etsy orders and launched my sister’s website, Stacy Nacu Photography. Whew! When it rains, it pours!
One of the Etsy orders was for a set of envelopes + custom liners—how cute did these turn out!? I have them listed in red, but the blue is beautiful!

I’m playing in a soccer tournament this weekend…if you don’t hear from me on Monday please look for me, collapsed on a soccer field in Broomfield. I’m sure it will be fun! I just hope I can keep up with everyone. It’s been months since I played soccer, and TEN YEARS since I played outdoor, so I’m pretty nervous.
Have a lovely weekend!!
I'd love to hear what you think!
