We had SUCH a fun Halloween!!! What a day!
We started the day with pumpkin pancakes for breakfast followed by pumpkin carving. The girls really participated in cleaning out the pumpkins this year! AND this was the first year we let Adelaide do some actual carving. She did great! The only part we helped with was the little line between the cheeks and the mouth 😀
Then Adelaide had a soccer game, which was AWESOME!!! It was our last game of the season, and the girls really showed up to play. It has been SO MUCH FUN watching these U7 girls grow and learn new skills, and then USE those skills on the soccer field. What an honor to be their coach!
The girls had a little quiet rest time, then it was time to get dressed!
The girls dressed up as the My Little Ponies, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Their costumes turned out so great! I have to give Matt all the credit though, because he was the one to sit down with an X-acto blade and craft foam and create their ears, and Rainbow Dash’s wings, which totally MADE their costumes! And the wings, THE WINGS! You should see the magnetic mechanism he created to attach Adelaide’s wings. Genius! (I may be biased though…)
I snapped a few photos of them in their costumes before the sun went down, but allllll of the fun was had after dark 😀
We trick-or-treated all over our neighborhood on our perfect Halloween night. Cool 50ish degree weather, clear night sky, and so many friends out and about on the streets! Such a fun Halloween!
