I had a lovely Mother’s Day 🙂 It started with the whole family sleeping in, (which is how all good days start!) followed by an amazing breakfast, (I won’t describe it entirely, but it involved homemade hollandaise, and fresh squeezed OJ mimosas!) followed by a trip out to visit Matt’s parents.
Grandma surprised the girls with an inflatable pool and matching pink tutu swim suits—they were in heaven! Matt’s parents live out in the country, south of Sacramento, and it’s always so quiet and calm there. I really enjoy the break from the constant murmur of activity of our little suburban life in San Jose. My favorite moment was sitting in the swing in their backyard, after dinner, listening to the birds chirping and watching the light change as the sun slowly sank into the horizon.
I treated myself to a rental from Borrow Lenses, so I could capture some of the beautiful moments this weekend. Here are a few of my favorites. Happy Mother’s Day!
