I snap photos, and print photos, so often that I’m running out of wall space! So when Easy Canvas Prints approached me to try out their Photos on Canvas product, I responded with an enthusiastic YES!
I’ve invested quite a bit of money (shhh! Don’t tell Matt!) in photos of our family, and the cheap affordable IKEA frames we put them in, don’t always do them justice. A gallery wrapped canvas print, however, is a much more fitting treatment.
The timing could not have been more perfect, I just got the girls’ photos taken last month! I haven’t even put them in frames yet! This is the photo I chose:
It’s one of my favorites!
I have to say that I really loved the interface for creating the canvas print. They made it very easy to upload my image, and then see an actual mock-up of my image on the canvas. I got to play with the different wrap options (image wrap, mirror image or solid color) before adding the canvas to my cart, so I knew exactly what I was ordering. And the final product looked exactly like the online preview. I’m always thrilled when that happens.
The quality of the print is stunning—it looks just like a painting, or framed piece of fine art. Because of it’s superior construction, this photo, ahem, piece of art, will be in our family for a lifetime. And then some.
Out of curiosity, I visited several other photo-to-canvas websites to see how Easy Canvas Prints compares, and I was shocked at how bad the competing design interfaces were. NONE of them gave a preview of the photo on canvas. Some of them didn’t even give a preview of the image after it uploaded. How am I supposed to know if it uploaded correctly?? And then there was the pricing…everyone except for Costco was more expensive.
Another feature I love—they’ll print straight from Instagram! You know those highly stylized, square photos I post every most Wednesdays? Those are made through Instagram. They’re beautiful, but they’ve really been limited to my digital world. Now, though, I think I’ll be immortalizing some of my favs on the 8×8 canvas option. Super exciting!
The folks a Easy Canvas Prints have generously agreed to give one lucky reader, an 8 x 10 canvas print of their very own! For a chance to win, visit Easy Canvas Prints and leave a comment below telling me what memory you’d like to immortalize.
A winner will be chosen via random.org and announced on Friday!
Comments close Thursday at midnight. Good luck!

I love this idea! I just learned about it a few months ago and think it’s great. I think I would chose one of my Colorado pictures. Wildflowers, mountains, storm clouds or something.

How cute!! I bet my little Emilia would look extra adorable on canvas! I’m usually not so good at making photo memories a priority. What a sweet way to do it!

Oh there are so many! I would put a family picture from my sister’s graduation on canvas, or a family picture from a trip to Maui I took in April with my boyfriend’s family 🙂

Ive been wanting to get canvas/canvas style prints done for my family but haven’t been ready to take the plunge financially and risk it not turning out. Glad to read your review! I would love a print of Vander, Ramona and I. But first we need to take a nice one 🙂

Oh wow they have some cool options at their site. Thanks for sharing about them, Heather!
I think I’d like to canvas the picture of my little family from this last Mother’s Day. It would be wonderful to have it as a piece of artwork.
