I was MIA last week because we had grandparents in town!! It’s always such a treat when family comes to visit. The girls love it, I get a bit of a break, it’s all just wonderful!
We got to play tourist and explore some very cool places! Here’s a little bit of what we did:
Since the grandparents weren’t here for Adelaide’s birthday, we started our visit with Birthday Celebration 2.0.
We took a family trip to visit the Buffalo Bill Museum and Gravesite. They had some neat kid exhibits and the views were incredible!
We spent a morning at Tiny Town—a very cute place where they’ve built an entire town, on a miniature scale, perfect for kids! Most of the little houses were set up with dioramas that you can see by peeking in through the windows. Some of them were built large enough for kids to go inside—my girls liked these best. And of course, we couldn’t leave without a ride on the Tiny Town RailRoad!
My favorite day, was the day we visited the Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. I had no idea that such a gorgeous place was so close to us! That seems to be something I’m discovering often here in Colorado…
Despite all of the thunder storms, it was SUCH a fun week! The girls don’t know what to do now that Grandma and Papa are gone. Back to boring summer life 🙂
I'd love to hear what you think!
