After our brief snow storms, Adelaide was talking about snow non-stop. Since we have just as much love for snow as she seems to, we decided to make a trip up to Mount Hood to play in the snow!
Sunday morning, we packed up the girls and the car and made the two-hour drive to Government Camp. The girls did great in the car! Adelaide read books and played games on the iPhone. Cadence slept the whole way!
After doing some online research, we decided to go to Ski Bowl for their “Tubing and Adventure Park”. When we got there, however, we were told no one under three was allowed on the hill. BOO! Oh well…maybe next year? They referred us to The Summit ski area’s tubing hill, because they’ll let little kids go tubing.
The hill at the Summit Ski area was great, but they don’t have a rope tow or conveyor belt for getting back up the hill…which Ski Bowl does have, so it made it really difficult to get Adelaide up the hill. We made it down the hill around 5 times and she loved every trip down! In between trips down the hill we did our best to get her to play in the snow at the top of the hill, so mommy and daddy could catch our breath!
We had a great time! Here are some pictures from our day:
And a video of Adelaide and Matt going down the hill. They’re on the far right of the video.
