We had such a lovely Easter! The weather was gorgeous, we were surrounded by family, and the food was outstanding! Here’s our day in pictures 😀
Easter Baskets
The girls each got bug books, magnifying glasses and a bug box for finding and learning about all of those little critters in our yard.
Oh, and jump ropes. Adelaide has been perfecting her jump-roping, and now Cadence wants to join in the fun too.
Egg Dying
Easter just isn’t complete with out dying eggs! Everyone got an egg with their name on it (a sticker) that they dyed, as well as a few extras. Always a fun activity!
Egg Hunt
After a quick nap, it was outside for the egg hunt!
Outside Play Time
While dinner was cooking, everyone played outside in the gorgeous 75 degree weather!
Easter Eats
We had a smorgasbord of delicious treats all day on Sunday. “Bunny Butt” cookies, lemon macarons, spinach artichoke dip and deviled eggs served with “Heather’s Hard Lemonade” to wash it all down 😉 Dinner was a delicious herb-roasted chicken with roasted veggies (sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts). Serious YUM!
Oh, and those eggs with names…those were table decorations. 😀
Evening Activities
While the grown-ups washed dishes and prepped carrot cake, the littles enjoyed a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt! Admittedly, it was more of an “egg gather” but still, they loved it!
What was your favorite part of Easter? Have you tried a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt? It’s a bit of work to put together, but one you’ve stuffed all the plastic eggs with glow-in-the-dark bracelets, the fun happens all on its own. My kids LOVE being outside when it’s dark. It’s the little things in life 😉
Hope you had an EGGcellent Easter!!
