I like to get the kids involved in creating the Christmas experience as much as possible. My most vivid memories from Christmas growing up, was the act of making cookies, putting up the christmas lights, and hanging the ornaments on the tree. I hope my girls grow up to have similar memories.
A few weeks ago, Crayola sent me their new Air Marker Sprayer to try out, so I decided to let the girls make their own wrapping paper. It was so much fun! They didn’t want to stop air-spraying!
The Air Marker Sprayer uses regular wide-grip Crayola markers, so theres no need for special “refills”—LOVE THIS! It also means we had an enormous color pallet to work with!
The stencils it comes with offer lots of inspiration to get you started. And of course free-spraying is lots of fun too.
My only complaint was how loud the little motor is, but I think that’s what my girls liked best—they love getting to use a machine. 😀
I decided on a slightly different method for making our wrapping paper, rather than the usual drawing/painting all over a roll of plain paper. Instead, I let the girls make their creations on letter-sized paper. Then I scanned their creations onto my computer, and ordered the wrapping paper from spoonflower.com. The benefit here, is that I was able to set a size and repeat frequency of the girls’ art to create a pattern. It really transforms their artwork!
I highly recommend trying out the Air Marker Sprayer—so much fun, and so many possibilities!

I'd love to hear what you think!
