This is an easy, affordable and beautiful way to share holiday cheer with the kids in your life—DIY snowball play dough!
My girls have asked if they can give gifts to their friends and neighbors this year. I absolutely want to encourage that spirit of giving, but my wallet can’t afford specific gifts for everyone in my kids’ lives! That’s where this DIY gift comes in…
Play dough is universally fun, and this festive version will bring holiday cheer to anyone your kids want to share it with.
Here’s what you need to whip up a batch of snowball play dough gifts:
- These little plastic containers
- This FREE PRINTABLE from Yellow Bliss Road
- Printable sticker paper like this
- OPTIONAL: 2″ Circle Punch
- OPTIONAL: red and white bakers twine
- This play dough recipe – Yields approximately 12 “snowballs”
- 1 cup white flour
- ½ cup salt
- 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 cup water
- White food coloring
- White fine glitter
- Optional: peppermint or vanilla extract gives the play dough a fun scent!
Follow the recipe to make your batch of play dough. Once cooled, roll the dough into 2″ balls.
Print and cut out the free printable, then stick the stickers to the lids of the containers.
Add a snowball to each container, and if you feel like it, decorate with red and white bakers twine!
Hand these out to the neighborhood kids, your kids’ friends, or anyone in your life who likes tactile play 😀
I'd love to hear what you think!
