Adelaide’s 7th birthday party was SO MUCH FUN! It might have been my favorite party to date. The cardboard box party theme was SO easy, and SO simple, which made it relaxing. Can you believe that?! A low-stress birthday party!? I didn’t think it was possible!
The party supplies were provided by Shindigz, so be sure to check out the full write-up of everything that went into this adorable party on the Shindigz Party Ideas blog.
Party Snacks
I kept the snacks simple, since the party was from 10-12 in the morning. We served:
- Snack Mix – in dollar store plastic cups, on this theme-perfect cardboard stand!
- Sliced Apples and Raspberries – in these corrugated cups
- Popcorn – in kraft paper bags
- And my favorite…a donut hole tree! I found instructions for the donut hole tree here
I’m super bummed that I didn’t get a good photo of the donut hole tree before the kids devoured it…but I’m also thrilled I didn’t have to bring home 80 donut holes!
The donut cake was pretty awesome too, and VERY well received!
But of course the fun part of the cardboard box party was building stuff! I think Matt may have had the most fun…he made a bunch of minecraft-style box heads for the boys to wear. They loved it!
At one point he made several cardboard letters to put into the mail slot in one of the cardboard houses. Such a great daddy!
Most of the boxes were collected from neighbors, friends, and local businesses. The giant boxes were ordered from an office supply store 😉
A cardboard box party was the perfect way for our creative girl to celebrate her 7th year!! Happy Birthday Adelaide!
