These days, it seems like everyone has food allergies of one kind of another. In fact, there are several people on the guest list for Adelaide’s 6th birthday party with food allergies. Since one of those people is the birthday girl, I need to offer an allergy-free cupcake option.
We’ve decided on two cupcakes for the party…vanilla and chocolate. But not just any vanilla and chocolate…
The chocolate will be a decadent red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting—my absolute favorite, and since I’m baking, I get to make the final call! #perks
And I’ll make the vanilla cupcakes using Julie’s Original white cake mix.
I’m so thrilled to finally introduce my friend Julie, here on my blog! Julie and I were introduced a few years ago through a mutual friend, and we’ve been working together on her growing business ever since.
Julie is the brilliant, and super sweet mind behind Julie’s Original cake mixes. As a professional baker and pastry chef with over 20 years of experience, her gluten intolerance only presented a new challenge.
Gluten-free baking is hard, complicated by all kinds of specialty flours and hard-to-find ingredients. Julie’s Original baking mixes takes the guesswork out of gluten-free baking.
Just add oil and milk (almond, coconut or soy!), for a delicious, homemade cake that is so good, no one will ever guess that it’s gluten-free! It’s also vegan, wheat-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and egg-free. That’s right, Julie’s Original cake mix is specially formulated so that you don’t have to add eggs or egg replacer, like most other gluten-free mixes on the market!
Be sure to check out the huge collection of Julie’s Original recipes—her cake mix is SO versatile! Carrot cake!? Biscotti!? Pumpkin Bars!? TWINKIES!? Yes, please!
I’m so excited to be able to offer these cupcakes at Adelaide’s party this weekend. I’ll be sure to get reviews from all my taste-testers and let you know what they think!
Do you have a favorite gluten-free baking mix? Have you tried Julie’s Original yet? I’d love to know how you handle food allergies at your parties/functions.
