Last Friday was our darling Adelaide’s 5th birthday, followed on Saturday by her 5th birthday party!
I had so much fun planning her party (probably too much fun) and even though 10,000 things went wrong Saturday morning (the wind blowing decorations off the fence….rental table and chairs cancelled at the last minute…storm clouds with intermittent rain…etc) by the time the guests showed up, we were ready for a fun-filled afternoon!
The theme was princesses and knights—because hello, 5 year old girl! But mostly, the party was a way to get all her friends together and celebrate HER. Which we accomplished with flying colors!
Here is a photo tour of her party, so you can feel like you were there 😉
Decorating crowns…
Dress-up tutus, and photo props!
Games of tag, ring-around-the-rosie and the Cinderella shoe relay!
And then there was cake!
And of course, presents!
Balloons and bubbles…
And only one sad moment after her favorite balloon popped. Thank goodness there was more than one balloon!
When asked what her favorite part of her party was, she replied “Playing tag!”. That’s our girl—our FIVE year old girl! We love her to pieces and are so honored be her parents.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADELAIDE!!
