7 weeks!

Time is passing so quickly! I think it went slower last time…I’m sure of it. Anyhow. Here are some more fun tid-bits about our little Cadence Olivia.

• She’s using her voice for more than just crying! Her tiny coos and gurgles are so sweet! She just melts me when she starts “talking”. Sometimes I’ll ask Adelaide, “What is Cadence saying?” and Adelaide typically responds with an authoritative, “Cadence wants chocolate milk, mommy”. hahaha!

• Her hair is still red, her eyes are still blue, her eyebrows are still blond, but her eye lashes have darkened significantly! So curious to see what the rest of her “coloring” does.

• Cadence had the worst, WORST case of baby acne over the past two weeks and it’s finally clearing up. It was everywhere…Her cheeks, jawline, chin and forehead were so bad that you couldn’t see ANY normal skin. Then it spread to her head, her ears, her neck, upper back, shoulders and chest all the way down to her arm pits. SO CRAZY! We had only been bathing her twice a week because her skin had been so dry, but with the crazy outbreak we started bathing her every other day. I think the baths, coupled with time and some Cetaphil lotion helped, because I can finally see my sweet baby girl’s face again! Adelaide had a bout with baby acne too, but it was only on her face and only lasted a few days. I hope this isn’t any indication of what Cadence’s teenage years are going to be like!

• Still growing…I’ve noticed several of Cadence’s 3-month size jammies getting snug. So far the 6-month size clothing I’ve tried on her is still pretty big, but she’ll be there sooner rather than later. I’m really curious for her weigh-in at her two month appointment next week!

I spent most of last week trying to capture Cadence’s smile and I caught a few! There’s also a great one of her pushing herself up, so you can see how strong this little girl is!
