My Picks: for a baby boy!

My sister Stacy, is six months pregnant with a baby BOY!!! After having two girls, I am so so so so excited for a bouncing baby boy to be joining our family!

Yes, I know, girls are the “fun ones” to shop for, but it doesn’t stop me from wandering through the baby boy section and wistfully touching all of the adorable blue and green and orange things…

Since I’ve never purchased baby boy stuff, I have a HUGE LIST of things that I’ve seen and would totally buy if I had a boy of my own. Well, a nephew is as close as I’m going to get, so here it is,

My Picks for a baby boy!

1. Morten shoe

I am such a huge fan of the shoes from See Kai Run, and I swear the boy shoes are cuter than their girl shoes!

2. Natural Wood Rattle

I guess this isn’t specific to a baby boy, really ALL babies should have one of these. I bought one for Cadence and she loves it. It’s hand made with lots of love by the folks at Allouette.

I’m a long-time user of gDiapers and I LOVE their limited edition gStyle covers!! They’re always SO cute! The one pictured is called Fair Dinkum. Unfortunately they aren’t available for very long, but you can ALWAYS count on their next print being just as adorable!

4. Dinosaur Play Set

No one makes dinosaurs look cuter than Mini Boden! Comfortable and durable—a necessary combination for little boys.

5. Newsboy hat and loafer booties

Ohmygod I DIED when I found these on Etsy!! I’m sorry, tiny knit booties that look like shoes AND a matching knit hat with brim!??!??! HELL YES! I’m so tempted to buy this for Cadence…What? She could totally pull it off….

6. Mustache Baby Booties

Speaking of adorable knit booties…Your baby boy may not be able to grow a mustache yet, but he can still wear one! They come in tons of colors—check them out on Etsy.

7. Tie Onesie

There’s a short list of things that are cuter than a baby boy in a tie. So, putting a tie graphic on a onesie is brilliant! I think one (or four) of these classic tie onesies is a MUST in any baby boy wardrobe. You can find these everywhere, but the one pictured is on Etsy.

8. Skater Johnny Socks

Trumpette has made a name for themselves with their flagship product—baby socks. Not just any baby socks though, baby socks THAT ACTUALLY STAY ON BABY FEET! Then they took their awesome sock design and made them look like shoes! The ones pictured are my favorite of the boy options, perfect for any little indie baby.
