April is almost over, and I’m happy to be back here at The Caterpillar Years! It’s been so much fun searching for just the right things for Baby Cadence. When I find things for Adelaide, I’m always thinking about her personality and tastes — but as Cady is still developing hers, it’s been fun to pick and choose among the sweet baby fashions that are out there.
The outfit I’ve put together this month is unabashedly girly. As always, my interests tend toward texture first. Is it soft? Does it feel cozy? When Heather and I discuss clothes for the girls, we always come back to the same idea: Would we wear it? While neither of us could get away with a unitard and adorable balloon pants (well, maybe Heather could), we’re definitely ladies who like comfort in our fashion, and we want the same for the little ones. Everything from the onesie to the drawstring pants to the soft soled shoes and the stretchy headband are made for comfort. The flourishes and color scheme are what make them perfectly, divinely girly — which is just what Cadence will turn out to be, if she’s anything like her big sister and mama!
