Last week Cadence hit the 15 month mark! Such a big girl now!
She’s in the 60th percentile for weight, the 60th percentile for height, and the 60th percentile for head circumference. She’s the most proportional child ever! haha! Since she’s pretty much average (ONLY in physical growth attributes!) she’s usually able to wear her clothing well after her age moves her into the next size—meaning, she’s finally outgrowing her 9-12 month clothes 🙂 We’re officially in 12-18 month clothing! Did you hear that? That was the sound of me diving in the totes of saved baby clothes currently occupying way too much space in our garage! 😉 The perks of having an older kid!
The biggest change I’ve noticed in Cadence this month, is the continued expansion of her vocabulary. New words: bubbles, up, down, sit, sit down, Tinker Bell, and actually. Adelaide is stuck on the word “actually” and it’s driving Matt and I totally bonkers so we’re completely thrilled that Cadence has picked it up too. (SARCASM!!!!)
She’s noticing emotions more, and picking up on a lot of the actions or routines around emotions. For example, every morning when she see’s Adelaide, they hug and kiss and say good morning. Or when Adelaide is sad, Cadence will give her a toy, a hug or a kiss. It’s all very sweet.
Cadence LOVES to give “high-fives”. In fact, she often walks around requesting to be asked for a high five. She does this by walking up to you and grabbing your hand and pulling it down so that she can slap it. This will be even cuter when she learns that she can do the asking for the high-five 🙂
Cadence got her first pair of REAL shoes (shoes with a hard sole instead of a soft sole). I had to buy them for her because her feet are so tiny that Adelaide never wore hard-soled shoes in a size 4. Super big bummer, huh? I chose pink Tiny Toms. ♥ ♥ ♥
She loves her shoes! She loves putting them on, taking them off, running, walking, dancing…all the things you can do with shoes. Now, whenver she wants to go outside and play, she brings me her shoes. It reminds me of a dog bringing its owner a leash when it wants to go for a walk, LOL!
Here are some pictures of my 15 month old girl!
I'd love to hear what you think!
