It’s been almost fifteen weeks, and the name “Emery” just hasn’t settled in to our liking. Three weeks ago, on the drive to work, Matt asked me, “So are you still in love with the name, Emery?” To which I immediately answered, “Of course! Yes! It’s the most amazing name ever!” but secretly, I’d been having doubts for weeks. On paper, Emery is an amazing name. I love it so much! There are so many things about it that are perfect…it has three syllables, it starts with a vowel, it has a musical reference, it’s uncommon but not unpronounceable…I could go on and on… but...

The Play Boutique

Beaverton’s newest indoor play space! The Play Boutique has been in Lake Oswego for years, and they just opened a second location in the Progress Ridge shopping center in Beaverton. They’re a lot more than just an indoor play space—they also have a cafe, a restaurant, a school and mommy-and-me classes. So far, I’ve only checked out the play space and cafe. Emery’s first giggles!!

Tonight, about an hour before bedtime, Emery and I were hanging out on the couch with Adelaide and she started fussing. So I tried to cheer her up. I guess it worked because she started laughing!! A big girl bed for Adelaide

Saturday, February 18th was Adelaide’s last night in her crib. The very next morning, after breakfast, Matt started assembly on her new bed.
